My name is Lisa (Motter) Rogich and I am the Reading Specialist and ELL Teacher at St. Pius X. I taught first grade at St Pius X School for two years before moving on to my passion, teaching reading. I have been teaching Reading Intervention for sixteen years and ELL for three. As the reading teacher, I meet with students in small groups to tone and build reading skills using Orton Gillingham methodology. This is my third year working with the ELL population at SPX. I meet with students in a small group setting to evaluate, instruct, and improve English proficiency as well as serve as a resource to the classroom teacher and school for English language concerns.
I attended St. Pius X for Elementary School and continued my educational journey at Bishop Hartley High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio Dominican University and my Masters in Literacy from Ashland University. I am currently working on a second Masters and ELL Endorsement from Ashland University.
My husband and I have two sons. As a family, we enjoy traveling, kayaking on Hoover, baseball, swimming, going to CBJ games and watching college and professional sporting events. Go ND IRISH!!
I played women’s soccer at Ohio Dominican University
